Everbuild 145 Butyl Sealant a traditional permanently plastic one sealant based on Polybutene Butyl Sealant is used for sealing joints in applications such as curtain wall joints, window and glass bedding, metal panel joining, bedding thresholds, secondary glazing seals, and areas where a seal is required provides an effective weatherproof seal in a variety of exterior and interior.
Applications.
- Everbuild 145 Butyl Sealant forms a skin in approximately 24hrs Remains
- permanently plastic underneath.
- The sealant accommodates joint movement of + to - 5%,
- Paintable and exhibits good UV and chemical resistance.
Everflex Butyl Rubber Sealant Benefits
- Over paintable
- Adheres to most common building surfaces
- Semi drying forms a surface skin but remains permanently elastic beneath
- High solids formulation excellent gap filling properties without shrinkage
- Good external weathering properties
Uses:
- Single glazing of metal, concrete and wooden frames
- Sealing metal roof panels
- Pointing around soft or hardwood timber metal concrete stone window and door frames not plastic
- Sealing metal panels in car bodies and containers
- Sealing pre-cast concrete panels
- Sealing timber sections to brick, stone concrete
- Ideal for rooflines applications
- Sealing gaps and cracks in brickwork and stone
Product Limitations:
Do not use in conjunction with bitumen or asphalt
Do not use on plastic, PVCu windows, polycarbonate or acrylic sheet
The sealant will skin in 24 to 48 hrs but will remain plastic underneath
Should not be used in areas where it will be subjected to interference or damage
Do not use in applications where joint movement will exceed +/- 5%
It is the users responsibility to determine suitability for use
