Sikasil WS605S is a premium silicone sealant used for weather sealing applications where durability under severe conditions is required.
It is particularly suited as a weather seal for structural glazing, curtain walling and windows
WS-605 S is particularly well suited as a weather seal for structural glazing, curtain walling, facades and windows. e.g. for capping structural glazing joints, marine sealing applications.
Sikasil WS605S is a durable, neutral curing silicone sealant with excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates.

Application:
- The optimum temperature for substrate and sealant is between 15 deg c and 25 deg c.
- Can be applied by hand gun or air power.
- For optimum performance the joint width needs to be designed according to the movement capability of the sealant based on the actual expected movement.
- The minimum joint depth is 6 mm and a width depth ratio of minimum 2 to 1 and maximum of 4 to 1.
- Joints deeper than 15 mm must be avoided.
- It is recommended to use closed cell foam backer rods.
- If joints are too shallow for backing material to be employed, we recommend using a polyethylene tape,
- This acts as a bond breaker allowing the joint to move and the silicone to stretch freely.
- Uncured Sikasil WS-605 S can be removed from tools equipment and surfaces with Sika Adhesive Remover-208.
